Our Beliefs

AOET is not affiliated with any particular church or denomination and is inclusive to individuals of all backgrounds. However, AOET is lead by individuals who uphold a Christ-centered perspective. Our personal journeys of faith and adoption experiences are foundational to our mission.

“Though my father and mother forsake me, the LORD will receive me”
-Psalm 27:10

We believe there is one true God, existing as the Holy Trinity.

We believe the Holy Bible is the true Word of God.

We believe Jesus Christ is the son of God, sent to die, was resurrected and ascended for the sin of the world and who through his blood forgives our sins.

We believe that through repentance and acceptance of grace through faith we are assured the gift of salvation.

With a clear understanding of the unconditional love of God, we can begin to consider a different definition and example of love that does not equate with abandonment. When we accept the free gift of being “adopted” into God’s eternal family we discover the promises of how God never abandons his children and how God’s only Son willingly accepted the sacrifice of his own life so that we could have our deepest needs met.

We recognize not all people share the same faith or religious views. We invite adoptees of all faiths, backgrounds and experiences to connect with other adoptees who understand the complex journey that is, being adopted.
